In 2009 Andy has directed the touring version of Peepolykus' Spyski for The Lyric Hammersmith and Foot/Mouth by the same writers at The Soho Theatre. Andy has directed various new writing projects including Eamonn Fleming's Magic Thinking recently performed at the new Hull Truck Theatre. Other recent directing includes The Tobacco Factory's Christmas shows A Christmas Carol and Alice Through The Looking Glass; The Last Resort for Strangeface, The Fireworks Party and How To Live Without Love for The Theatre Royal Bath and I Shot Dirty Den for Natural Theatre Company/Innerroom.
Previously, Andy worked extensively as a lighting designer and production electrician at The Theatre Royal Bath. He occasionally performs, recently with The Natural Theatre Company on Slava Polunin's The Congress Of Fools in Moscow.
Andy started directing devised physical comedies with Innerroom Theatre and Big State, alongside a period working for The Leicester Haymarket Outreach Dept. In 1999 Andy directed and adapted the first stage adaptation of Terry Gilliam's The Fisher King. Touring to medium and small scale venues, the show was universally praised, although some press were startled by the (now commonplace) idea of putting a film script on stage!

In the next year Andy directed The Tempest with the best actors taken from Bristol and Bath companies, The Lesson with John Nicholson of Peepolykus, and then worked with The Natural Theatre Company at The St Paulo Theatre in Hamburg on the German version of Rasputin.
In 2001 Andy was appointed Artistic Director of The Rondo Theatre where he stayed for six years, increasing audiences to an average of 76%, doubling turn over, and completing a major refurbishment of the venue. This
made The Rondo a "mecca of Fringe Theatre" and earned the respect of The Times as one of the most important small theatres in the country and gave Andy Venue Magazine's 2007 "Top Thespian" award.
Andy continued directing with two more successful shows with The Natural Theatre Company, the box office smashes Searchlights Over Bemmy for The Tobacco Factory and Shirley Valentine for Innerroom, and then two self-penned satirical hits The Truth About Hoggett & Webb and The Chronicles of Hoggett & Webb.

Last year saw another selection of highly acclaimed performances. There was a well received London run for OId World for Prime Theatre, a Bristol and London run for Steve Hennessy's The Inhabitants Of The Moon Are Noses for Theatre West Diary of a Madman for In Extremis/Stepping Out and a national tour of Fallen Angels for Big State.
